Emergency Services Report Increase in Early Morning Calls

Emergency dispatch data released this week shows that emergency calls between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. remain significantly higher than at any other hour of the night.

According to the report, the majority of calls involve:
• Individuals reporting someone following them.
• Sounds coming from empty buildings.
• Domestic animals behaving aggressively toward unseen objects.
• Persons requesting welfare checks before abruptly ending the call.

City officials emphasized that no evidence suggests a common cause.
Police have encouraged residents traveling during these hours to remain in well-lit areas and report suspicious activity.
