Illegal Livestock Operation Discovered
Over the past several months, multiple farmers reported cattle disappearing from their properties under unusual circumstances. Initial reports were treated as ordinary livestock theft, but investigators later discovered evidence suggesting the animals were being slaughtered shortly after being taken and transported to unknown buyers.
"We didn't just lose a cow," one farmer said.Someone came onto our land, killed our animals, and treated our farm like it belonged to them."
Authorities believe the stolen livestock may have been entering the commercial market through unauthorized channels. Several meat suppliers are currently cooperating with investigators to determine whether illegally obtained products reached consumers.
The Helen's Fields Farmers Association has called for increased nighttime patrols, stating that many residents no longer feel safe leaving their properties unattended.
Police have not identified any suspects but confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
"We are dealing with individuals who appear organized and familiar with agricultural operations," a police spokesperson said.
Residents have been advised to report suspicious vehicles or unfamiliar activity near private farms.
