Are You Mine?

How can I know that you are mine?
How do I trust that you love me as much as I love you?

Whenever I close my eyes,
I can see how much I need you.

But
it's sad to know that you'd need me
because of what I can do.

Do you really care?

I wish I could cut open your chest
just to see your heart.

I cry and thirst for your caring presence,
yet I receive none.

You say you'd do anything for me,
but when I ask you to do something, you fail.

You say you love me more than I love you,
but all I see is a joke.

You leave and come back,
our connection lost.

I strive to build the bridge between two worlds,
yet you tear it down.

Do you love me?
Do you really care?

Then why are you not here?

Not even a cut on your skin
could prove your love for me.

Once again, when you come back,
you're no longer green and blue,
but a wasteland.

Then it's me again who plants the seeds.
It's me again who waters the fields.

How much do I care about you?

Like a father raising his daughter alone.

How much do I care about you?

Like a boy who has never known love
and never had a mother.

Yet...

you are still not mine.
